and cities, generated by the industrial revolution, farms and country properties would have been furnished by items individualy
crafted by local artisans. These charming items still exist but are becoming rarer through export. Being singular
works of art, a well chosen piece has the ability to add character to a home, becoming the owner's signature
on the style of decor.
Early 18th Century Queen Anne Antique Oak Gateleg Table

Open length top of 130cm supported by hand turned baluster and bobbin
turned legs, joined by plain stretchers. This is a lovely piece of honest 18th century oak country furniture.
It is held together by hand cut wooden pegs and has over the years aquired an excellent patination.

A set of four artisan built matching chairs. Oak board seats supported
on square tapered legs, joined by a plain box stretcher. Assembled with pegged tenon joint construction.

George II 18th Century Antique Oak Drop-Leaf Table

A small go anywhere 18th century oak swing leg apron end table. Supported
on cannon turned legs with pad feet. The swing leg action of this table requires no supporting stretcher,
which often impedes the seating arrangement. A functional item with plenty of character.
George lll Antique Welsh Oak Coffer
Somewhere in Time, Ramsbottom, Lancashire
A magnificent piece of early 18th century architecture in the form of this
country oak chest. A shaped panelled Georgian oak chest over two graduated drawers in a slightly stepped base. Flanked
by two deeper box drawers, all fitted with brass swan neck pulls. The two board hinged lid raises
to reveal a lidded candle box. On stilt supports with a shaped apron. Heavy duty brass carry handles to either
end. 135cm width.
William and Mary Elm Gateleg Table
Somewhere in Time, Ramsbottom, Lancashire
A 17th century drop leaf table with a well figured burlwood elm
top. Raised on spiral turned gateleg supports joined by a moulded box stretcher. Peg joined mortice and tennon
structure.
