Coronation Commemorative Plate   Issued to 80,000 children in Leeds 1902 by the Mayor of Leeds. Presented as a momento of the coronation of Edward VII. This rare plate bears two dates owing to the sudden postponement of the coronation due to Edward's illness.  He suffered from tonsilitis. The official date set for the coronation was 26th June 1902, but was delayed until August 9th.  The back of this plate bears confirmation of this.
